About[]

The first comic present the prequel of the 1993 TV series, taking place in the year 2091 and predating the war in which the Biker Mice sustained their trademark injuries.

Plot[]

The trio are biking in Desert Spin Valley in 2091, on their way to celebrate Marscavia. following their accompaniment with Vinnie to pay his respects at his parents' grave. They meet Modo's family at a local cookout, alongside his sister, her husband and their children, Rimfire and Primer. She alerts to Modo that there are rumors of Plutarkians strip-mining in the area and are suddenly ambushed by a Plutarkian tank, but are defeated by the Biker Mice. Following the encounter, the Plutarkians escalate their war with the Martian Mice, forcing a rise in voluntary military recruitment to fight against them. Throttle is recalling the recent series of events to his mother, whose memory is failing due to illness, and struggles with the decision of whether or not to join the fight.

In another ride through the canyon, the mice encounter a rat and engage in combat against it; both are stunned by the sudden explosion separating them. In Harley's garage, who repairs their bikes from the destruction, Vinnie laments the lack of attention Harley gives him, and talks to Modo privately about their situation as their short-term work of ambushing smugglers won't be enough in the long-term to stop the looming threat of Plutarkians. Modo suspects that Utopia-Aegis, the same supplier that built his bazooka weapon, could be supplying them. He later visits his mother, whom he embraces.

Throttle and Modo argue about their views on joining the army - while Throttle is taking Martian weapons given to him by Lieutenant Carbine, Modo sees it as suspicion he will join, whereas he feels an obligation not to in order to protect his family. A Plutarkian ambush interrupts their argument; they head to the nearby encounter, with Carbine taking them on alone with a sustained shot wound. The Biker Mice come to her aid, with Throttle's admiration of her keeping her ground, but a major explosion finishes the job for them. Throttle first suspects Carbine, but the origins of the firepower are proven to be unknown, her knowledge being of rumors of a lone rebel living within the canyons.

Carbine takes them to an army camp in the desert, admitting the war is getting serious and there are plans to strike Brimstone. She confides in Throttle that she's supposed to arrest vigilantes and prevent them from operating in the desert, and only hasn't stopped the Biker Mice due to her relationship with Throttle and her interest in using the three as assets in the war, further convincing them.

Meanwhile, at Stilton Castle, Mr. Stilton is contacting Slobber on the progress of his sand raiders and his reports on Stoker, the Martian hidden in the desert, and orders Slobber to find him that rebel and burn the city that's hiding him to the ground.
