Trivia[]

  • This episode is also known under the title, Between Rump and a Hard Place, both titles being a play on the phrase "Between a rock and a hard place."
  • Rump mentions "Kugun Point" as he is negotiating with Charlie, an Alaskan cape nearby Klawock.
  • Throttle quotes the American National Anthem with the phrase, "rocket's red glare".
  • Motocross action figure variants of Throttle, Modo, and Vinnie were modeled after their motocross gear seen in this episode.

Goofs[]

  • Vinnie's mask is briefly seen on the wrong side of his face during his race with Chaz.
    • When surrounded by Claw Troopers at Rump's base, a shot is shown where his mask completely encompasses to include his right ear.
    • Additionally, a close-up shot of Vinnie racing against Chaz shows only the outline of his mask; his face is completely white.
  • Cataclysm's eye color often switches to white.
  • Cataclysm's red tufts of fur on the sides of his face are briefly shown as the same mahogany brown as he watches Vinnie take the lead of the race.
    • Lack of coloring is shown again, but only on Cataclysm's right tuft, as the Biker Mice find he and Rump holding Charlie, and again on both several shots later.
    • Another lack of coloring is seen in a side profile of Cataclysm as Rump decides to rush the rocket's launch countdown.
  • Several shots throughout the episode show Vinnie with grey ears instead of white.
  • After Rump flies off with Charlie, a shot with Vinnie without his earrings can be seen.
    • A shot with a lack of earrings can be seen again after stopping at Rump's race track's dead end, as Vinnie questions Davini's whereabouts.
  • Despite Charlie mentioning Rump having locked her in a chair, she is only shown to be handcuffed.
  • Modo is first seen towing Vinnie's bike, but then is switched to Throttle at the end of the episode.

Pop Culture[]

  • Rump refers to deer as "Bambi", the titular character from the film of the same name.
  • Puss and Boots' names are a reference and play on the fictional feline character, Puss in Boots, most popularly portrayed in the Shrek film series as well as his own.
  • Throttle's "turtle soup" jab at Rump is a likely nod to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, a series often joked by the mice for their similarities.
